Terms & Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Pawfend ("Pawfend," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing, registering for, or using the Pawfend website, mobile application, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform. Pawfend reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be effective upon posting. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Release of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Pawfend shall have no liability for any claims, injuries, losses, harm, or damages arising out of or related to:

• Interactions or dealings with other users, whether online or offline
• Acts or omissions of Pet Owners or Caregivers
• The provision or receipt of Pet Care Services

4. User-to-User Transactions

All Pet Care Services and related transactions are solely between Pet Owners and Caregivers. Pawfend is not a party to any agreement between users and does not guarantee service performance, payment, safety, or outcomes.

5. Bookings

A service arrangement is formed when a Pet Owner and a Caregiver mutually agree to a booking ("Booking") through the Platform.

• Bookings may be initiated by either party
• All Booking requests are subject to acceptance by the receiving party
• Either party may decline a Booking at their discretion

Once confirmed, users agree to honor the Booking terms.

6. Responsibility to Evaluate Caregivers

Pet Owners are solely responsible for evaluating the suitability, qualifications, and compatibility of Caregivers. Pawfend does not warrant that any information, verification, or badge is accurate, complete, current, or predictive of future conduct.

7. Abandoned Pets; Emergency Placement

If a Pet Owner fails to retrieve their pet at the conclusion of a Booking, becomes unreachable, or otherwise abandons their pet, the Caregiver may arrange alternative care, including foster care or contacting appropriate authorities.

8. Monitoring, Badges & Platform Oversight

Pawfend may, at its discretion: monitor platform activity, review communications, investigate complaints, provide customer support, offer training programs, and award or revoke badges.

9. Emergency & Veterinary Care

Pet Owners are responsible for providing accurate emergency contact and veterinary information and for all veterinary expenses incurred.

10. User Conduct

You agree to use the Platform lawfully and responsibly. Pawfend reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion. There is zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behavior; reported content and users are reviewed and acted upon within 24 hours.

11. Legal Compliance

Users are solely responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, including labor, tax, licensing, and immigration regulations.

12. No Insurance

Unless explicitly stated in writing, Pawfend does not provide insurance coverage for pets, Pet Owners, or Caregivers.

13. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Pawfend and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from any claims arising from your use of the Platform.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Pawfend shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages. If Pawfend is found liable, its total liability shall not exceed the total platform fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the event.

15. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and materials on the Platform are owned by Pawfend or its licensors and may not be copied, distributed, or used without permission.

16. Termination

Pawfend may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time and for any reason.

17. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea.

18. Dispute Resolution

Disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration, to the extent permitted by law.

19. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

20. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Pawfend regarding use of the Platform and supersede all prior agreements or understandings.
